Fire Detection and Extinguishing
Correct conduct in the event of fire - treating and evacuating the injured and leaving the site
Most fires are caused by the negligence of hikers and vacationers and the damage is immense. During heat waves, when there are high temperatures, low humidity and strong winds, the risk of fires breaking out is particularly great.
It is necessary to follow a few rules so that the forests and woods will be continue to be green:
- When lighting a bonfire make sure there are no weeds near the bonfire, and do not light a bonfire under a tree (the sparks are liable to fly and set the tree and the entire forest alight)
- Do not add liquid fuels to the bonfire and do not throw explosives, ammunition or gas containers onto the bonfire.
- Make sure there are containers of water to put out the fire and if the fire has not been put out, cover it with a deep layer of earth.
- Do not light a bonfire more than 30 cm. high
- Wearing long clothes and closed shoes near the bonfire is recommended (snakes and poisonous insects approach fire)
- Use the help of an adult to light the fire
- Do not jump over the fire, many people have been injured in this way
- If your clothes catch fire, do not run (the wind fans the fire), but roll on the ground until the fire is extinguished
- If you are burned, cool the burn with water and seek medical treatment
Do not blacken the forest and make sure you put out bonfires and barbeques, even if you were not the person who lit them, because the damage affects all of us!
